RIIZE's Shotaro will not appear at the group's upcoming Macau concert.
Concert organizer IME Macau announced on February 6 via social media that Shotaro will be absent from the Macau stop of RIIZE's 2026 concert tour Rising Loud.
The organizer stated that all parties had completed preparations for the full lineup to perform, but due to unforeseen circumstances, Shotaro will not be able to take the stage. An apology was issued to fans, asking for understanding and expressing regret over the lineup change.
Shotaro had originally been scheduled to perform on February 7–8 at Galaxy Arena in Macau. The other members departed for Macau on the morning of February 6, with Shotaro's absence announced shortly thereafter.
Speculation has emerged linking the decision to Shotaro's Japanese nationality, amid reports of worsening China–Japan relations affecting schedules involving K-pop groups with Japanese members.
Recent K-pop events in the region have also faced disruptions. Previously, Dream Concert 2026 in Hong Kong and Show! Music Core in Macau were both canceled roughly a week before their scheduled dates, reportedly due to broader regional circumstances.
