Sunghoon shared his thoughts after serving as a cultural ambassador during the Winter Olympics in Milan.
From February 6 to 9 (KST), Sunghoon visited Milan, Italy, carrying out official duties related to the 2026 Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics as a promotional ambassador for the Korea Sport & Olympic Committee.
His first assignment was participating in the Olympic torch relay near Bolivar Station. On February 6, he was also invited by the International Olympic Committee to walk the opening ceremony red carpet.
Sunghoon continued to show support for Team Korea by attending the figure skating team short program on February 7 and the women's 1,000-meter speed skating final on February 9.
His activities drew attention from both domestic and international media. Two rounds of local interviews were held, with journalists from Italy, Greece, and other countries joining Korean press in covering his visit.
"Through the torch relay and watching the competitions, I was reminded of the passion and memories I felt during my time as an athlete," Sunghoon said. "It was a precious experience that I will remember for the rest of my life."
The Korea Sport & Olympic Committee commented, "Traveling together with Sunghoon, a former figure skater, made this experience even more meaningful," adding, "We hope his support will give strength to Team Korea's strong performances."
