ZEROBASEONE Announces Transition to Five-Member Lineup, Not Disbandment
by. ymchoi

ZEROBASEONE is entering a new chapter next month — not through disbandment, but transformation. The group will continue activities as a five-member team instead of its original nine-member lineup.

On February 12, WakeOne released an official statement regarding the group's future. The agency confirmed that Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, and Park Gunwook will embark on a new season together under the name ZEROBASEONE.

A New Season Begins

Although ZEROBASEONE was initially formed as a time-limited project group, the five members and their respective agencies reached a mutual agreement to extend the team's activities. The agency stated that the decision was made after thorough discussions and shared consensus.

WakeOne pledged full support to ensure the stable establishment of the five-member system and emphasized ongoing communication so that all members can continue growing as partners.

The remaining four members — Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin — will conclude their project term and return to their original agencies to prepare for new beginnings. WakeOne expressed support for their future endeavors and asked fans to continue cheering them on.

Legacy Beyond Lineup Changes

The agency stressed that the musical legacy built by the nine members under the name ZEROBASEONE will not remain fixed in time but will expand through diverse possibilities. While the format of activities may evolve, the group's shared identity and values will continue.

As previously announced, all nine members will take the stage together for the "2026 ZEROBASEONE WORLD TOUR [HERE & NOW] ENCORE" concerts, scheduled for March 13–15 at KSPO Dome in Seoul.

With this restructuring, ZEROBASEONE signals continuity rather than closure — marking the start of Act Two in their evolving journey.
