MISAMO, the Japanese unit of TWICE, has swept major local charts with their first full-length album, solidifying their presence in Japan.
MISAMO released their first Japanese studio album, "PLAY," on February 4. The album completes a trilogy following their debut release and second mini album, marking a significant milestone in the unit's musical journey.
Oricon Weekly Double Crown
According to the latest Oricon chart dated February 16, "PLAY" recorded approximately 80,000 points, ranking No.1 on both the Weekly Album Ranking and the Weekly Combined Album Ranking.
The album also topped Billboard Japan's "Top Album Sales" and "Hot Albums" charts (dated February 11). Additionally, it claimed the No.1 spot on Tower Records' weekly overall album chart, demonstrating strong sales and streaming performance across platforms.
Title Track "Confetti" Gains Momentum
The title track "Confetti" has also drawn notable attention. The song ranked No.1 on the Oricon Weekly Streaming Surge Ranking (dated February 12), reflecting its rapid rise in digital consumption.
Meanwhile, TWICE is set to hold concerts at Tokyo National Stadium on April 25, 26, and 28 as part of their world tour "THIS IS FOR," further expanding their large-scale stadium footprint in Japan.
