VERIVERY's Kangmin is stepping into his second acting challenge as a space hero.
On February 20, the production team behind the shortform drama Jump Boy Live (written by Lee Ra-ik, directed by Lee Jung-hoon) unveiled its main poster and teaser. The preview highlights the transformation of protagonist Ion (played by Kangmin) into a live-streaming hero.
A Live-Streaming Hero Is Born
Jump Boy Live is a human sci-fi series that follows Ion, a science high school underachiever and outsider navigating youth and self-growth. After accidentally gaining teleportation abilities from a fallen meteorite, he becomes a "live hero" who saves Earth while broadcasting on social media.
The main poster features Ion in a spacesuit, paired with the tagline: "A live broadcast to save the Earth begins now!" The visual hints at an unconventional superhero narrative.
From Viral Fame to Pursuit
The teaser opens with Ion discovering a meteorite and awakening his teleportation powers. He soon reveals his abilities through an SNS live broadcast, instantly becoming the face of a viral trending video.
However, the tone shifts when a mysterious figure begins chasing him. In the final scene, Ion receives an offer tied to "Project Outbound," foreshadowing a dramatic turn in his life.
Jump Boy Live premieres on February 27 at 4 PM KST via the shortform platform KITSCH.
