BLACKPINK's Rosé has delivered the best-selling global single of the year.
On February 19 (KST), the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) unveiled its "Biggest-Selling Global Single of the Year 2025" chart. The ranking reflects worldwide performance based on downloads and streaming data across the year.
"APT." Makes History
Rosé's "APT." claimed the No. 1 spot on the Global Single Chart. It marks the first time a K-pop artist has topped the annual IFPI ranking.
It is also the first No. 1 song in the chart's history to include lyrics in a language other than English. IFPI described "APT." as a significant milestone in global music history.
"KPop Demon Hunters" OST Dominates
The global momentum extended to the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters. The original soundtrack also secured top positions on the chart.
"Golden" ranked No. 2, while "Soda Pop" also landed at No. 2 on the Global Single Chart in its respective category, reflecting the worldwide popularity of KPop Demon Hunters and its music.
With "APT." leading the global tally and KPop Demon Hunters dominating the upper ranks, K-pop's international impact continues to expand in measurable terms.
