BLACKPINK has made global history, becoming the first artist in the world to surpass 100 million subscribers on YouTube.

As of February 21, BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel exceeded the 100 million mark at approximately 7:31 PM KST. It is the highest and first milestone achieved by any artist worldwide. The group reached the record about nine years and eight months after launching their channel in June 2016.

'DEADLINE' Effect Sparks Surge

Subscriber growth accelerated following promotions for their third mini album DEADLINE. Notably, after releasing the album preview video on January 15, the channel gained an average of 10,000 new subscribers per day.

BLACKPINK previously entered YouTube's Top 5 Most Subscribed Artists in 2020, becoming the first non-English act to do so. They surpassed Ariana Grande, Eminem, Ed Sheeran, Marshmello, and Justin Bieber in succession. In September 2021, they claimed the No. 1 spot in global artist subscribers.

41.1 Billion Views and Guinness Recognition

The channel's cumulative views now stand at 41.1 billion. BLACKPINK is also listed in the Guinness World Records as the band with the most views on YouTube.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will release their third mini album DEADLINE on February 27 at 2 PM KST. The title track is GO, with pre-release single JUMP and additional tracks Me and My, Champion, and Fxxxboy included.

Marking their first comeback in approximately three years and five months, the agency described the album as a project capturing "irreversible peak moments and BLACKPINK's most radiant present."
