by. ymchoi

G-Dragon shared a message of courage and freedom with graduates of KAIST.

The artist attended the recent commencement ceremony at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon via online appearance, offering words of encouragement to students taking their first steps into society.

"It's Okay to Be Wrong"

G-Dragon congratulated the graduates, saying, "You've done it, and you're people who will continue to achieve." He added, "You are now stepping into a world without clear answers. It's okay to be wrong, as long as you don't stop."

He emphasized the importance of not fearing failure and choosing one's own path. "The courage to take a different road from others will take you the farthest," he said, encouraging students to begin freely and boldly.

From Cultural Icon to Academic Contributor

KAIST appointed G-Dragon as a visiting professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in June 2024. The collaboration aims to merge cutting-edge science and technology with the cultural industry to strengthen Korea's global competitiveness.

Beyond serving as a symbolic figure, G-Dragon has actively participated in academic events. In 2024 and 2025, he joined "Innovate Korea," hosting special talk shows on the future of AI entertainment technology.

Graduates responded with cheers to his warm and empowering message, marking a memorable moment at the ceremony.
