NCT's new unit NCT JNJM officially enters the music scene.
On February 23 at 6 PM KST, NCT JNJM will release their first mini album "BOTH SIDES," along with the music video for the title track of the same name. A countdown live broadcast will be held at 4:30 PM via YouTube and other platforms.
A Dual Concept That Defines the Unit
Built around the keyword "duality," the album highlights Jeno and Jaemin's distinct colors while maintaining balance as a unit. The mini album contains six tracks, including "I.D.O.L.," "What It Is," "HASHTAG," "WIND UP," and "sexier."
The title track "BOTH SIDES" is a hip-hop dance song featuring refined sound design, smooth drum beats, and witty vocal and rap delivery. Rather than opting for an intense, overpowering concept, the duo chose a track that presents a new mood not previously shown in NCT's group activities.
Jeno explained that many expected a powerful and fierce concept, but "BOTH SIDES" offers a fresher, more comfortable listening experience. Jaemin added that the song best represents NCT JNJM's identity and future direction, urging fans to pay attention to their visual harmony and on-stage synergy.
"Our Chemistry Is Perfection Itself"
Both members emphasized the significance of their long-awaited unit debut. Jeno acknowledged that many fans have waited for this pairing and expressed excitement about showcasing new sides of themselves.
Jaemin confidently described their chemistry as "perfection itself," noting that the album captures every detail—from sexiness and cuteness to elegance and charm.
In preparing the album, the duo focused heavily on expressing the concept of duality both musically and visually. With fewer members than a full NCT lineup, each took on greater responsibility in vocals, rap, and overall performance energy.

For "BOTH SIDES," the choreography emphasizes rhythm and beat rather than sheer power. The performance includes movements that highlight facial expressions, encouraging viewers to follow their hands and subtle details throughout each part.
During the music video shoot, Jeno recalled a memorable umbrella scene inspired by homage elements, while Jaemin mentioned feeling cautious during a close-contact acting moment with another performer.
NCT members showed strong support for the unit. Chenle reportedly expressed surprise at the unexpected concept, while Mark's encouragement provided additional motivation.
