"I want IVE's flame to spread farther and wider." — An Yu Jin
IVE has returned with a bold transformation. Shedding their early "princess" image, the group expands their long-running narrative of self-confidence from "I" to "we," signaling a new chapter of collective growth.
On February 23, IVE held a showcase at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, celebrating the release of their second full-length album, REVIVE+. It marks their first studio album in nearly three years, refined through two world tours and strengthened by six individual solo tracks.
Reigniting the Flame
REVIVE+ carries the meaning of "rekindling" and "reigniting." An Yu Jin explained that the album reflects their desire to let the name IVE burn brighter and reach further.
Liz noted that the group experimented extensively, asking listeners to view them from a fresh perspective. Jang Won Young emphasized that rather than focusing on standardized visuals or conventional beauty, the album highlights what makes IVE uniquely compelling.
The double title tracks are "BANG BANG" and "BLACKHOLE." Jang Won Young, who participated in writing lyrics for "BANG BANG," described the song as a declaration of moving forward confidently without being swayed by rumors. "BLACKHOLE," built on a shuffle-based track with addictive sound elements, showcases large-scale choreography, including dynamic table performances with numerous dancers.
IVE performed "BLACKHOLE" live at the showcase, executing precise group choreography while maintaining stable live vocals despite minor physical strain. An Yu Jin stated that synchronized performance is one of K-pop's core strengths and that "BLACKHOLE" was crafted with a strong focus on powerful group dance.

Twelve Tracks, Six Solo Statements
The album features 12 tracks, including "Hide and Seek," "Malware," "Firework," and "Hot Coffee," alongside six solo songs from each member.
Gaeul shared that her self-written track "Odd" addresses overcoming the fear of first-time challenges. Lee Seo introduced "Super Icy" as her first lyric-writing effort, highlighting its energetic mood. Liz's solo "In Your Heart," written with fans in mind, carries a rock-inspired vocal tone. An Yu Jin described "Force," previously unveiled during a concert, as a 2000s hip-hop–inspired performance track ideal for boosting confidence. Jang Won Young's "Eight" stands out with EDM elements and addictive lyrics.

The members repeatedly emphasized mutual support throughout the preparation process. An Yu Jin reflected that working on a full-length album required numerous new attempts and in-depth discussions about how to present a fresher image.
Beyond Records, Toward Longevity
Now in their sixth year since debut, IVE continues their streak of million-selling albums and strong digital chart performance. However, Jang Won Young stated that this comeback's priority is meaningful time with fans rather than numerical achievements.
"This album should prove IVE's own capability, independent of any comparisons," the group affirmed.
IVE will officially release REVIVE+ on major streaming platforms at 6 p.m. on February 23, aiming to once again solidify their presence in the global K-pop landscape.
