G-Dragon has taken large-scale legal action against malicious commenters, with some suspects already forwarded to prosecutors on defamation charges.
Galaxy Corporation announced that it is responding firmly to malicious posts involving defamation, false information, slander, and violations of personality rights targeting G-Dragon. The agency confirmed that more than 100 individuals have been sued.
The suspects are accused of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, specifically on charges of defamation.
Authorities reportedly identified multiple suspects through search and seizure operations targeting major online communities and social media platforms. The individuals have been transferred to their respective local police stations, where investigations are ongoing.
Some suspects have had their charges recognized and have been forwarded to the prosecution. The agency stated that it continues to collect evidence related to malicious posts and plans to expand both civil and criminal legal measures in stages to protect the artist's rights.
Galaxy Corporation also expressed gratitude to fans for their continued support and cooperation, reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding its artist.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon is set to take the main stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 12 and April 19 (local time). The performance will commemorate the 20th anniversary of BIGBANG's debut in front of a global audience.
