Park Jung-min is set to meet audiences in Busan as the Korean premiere of Life of Pi heads to its final stop.
Production company S&Co announced that Life of Pi wrapped its Seoul run on March 2 and will now continue its journey in Busan. The production marks the Korean premiere of the globally acclaimed stage adaptation.
Based on the novel Life of Pi by Canadian author Yann Martel, the show previously captivated audiences in London's West End before arriving in Korea. The story's theatrical reinvention has drawn praise for its technical ambition and immersive storytelling.
A Spectacle on Stage
The production has been widely applauded for its breathtaking stagecraft. From a massive storm at sea to the vast ocean horizon and a night sky stretching endlessly, the show delivers a cinematic experience on stage. Intricately designed puppetry further elevates the fantasy elements, bringing the Bengal tiger and other creatures to life with striking realism.
The synergy among the cast is another key highlight. Park Jung-min, Park Kang-hyun, Seo Hyun-chul, and Hwang Man-ik have performed together over 100 times, building powerful chemistry that deepens the emotional impact of each scene.
Final Stop: Busan
The Busan run will take place from March 7 to 15 at Dream Theatre in Nam-gu. To celebrate the opening, special events including the "Pi Island Busan" pop-up zone and limited-edition tickets will be offered.
Detailed ticket information is available through NOL Ticket and Yes24.
