BLACKPINK is drawing widespread acclaim from major U.S. and U.K. outlets following the release of their third mini album DEADLINE.

Rolling Stone: "Back at Their Absolute Peak"

Rolling Stone recently highlighted DEADLINE, stating that BLACKPINK has "returned at the height of their powers."

The magazine referenced the members' individual hiatus periods, noting that each focused on solo activities while the world waited for the four to reunite. It emphasized the unique synergy created when all members come together.

On the album's tracklist, Rolling Stone pointed out the absence of a ballad, adding that BLACKPINK does not need one at this stage. The group, it said, continues to command attention in the way they do best.

The outlet also reflected on BLACKPINK's journey from Lovesick Girls to now, describing DEADLINE as an album that signals not an ending, but the anticipation of the next chapter.

Billboard and Clash: Musical Precision and Strategic Absence

Billboard focused on the album's musical execution, especially the title track "GO." The publication praised its intense rap verses, smooth vocals, and innovative beat drop, calling it both the album's standout and a defining BLACKPINK anthem.

Billboard further highlighted the hook lyric "Blackpink'll make ya," predicting it could become a global chant embraced by fans.

U.K. outlet Clash interpreted BLACKPINK's hiatus as a strategic move. According to Clash, their absence amplified public curiosity and built momentum for their comeback, creating what it described as a "domino effect."

The publication underscored the group's balance between rap and melody, minimalism and dramatic staging, crediting their powerful musical and visual synergy for captivating global audiences.

Forbes: Record-Breaking First-Day Sales

Forbes spotlighted the commercial impact of DEADLINE, reporting that the album achieved the highest first-day sales in history for a K-pop female artist, with 1.46 million copies sold. The achievement further solidified BLACKPINK's global influence.

DEADLINE topped the iTunes album charts in 38 regions worldwide. In China, all tracks ranked high on QQ Music charts.

The mini album captures an irreversible peak moment in the group's career. It marks their first release in three years and five months since their second full-length album BORN PINK in September 2023.

The five-track project includes the title track "GO," pre-release single "Run," and B-sides "Me and My," "Champion," and "FXFXBOY."

BLACKPINK recently wrapped their DEADLINE world tour, which began in Goyang in July last year and expanded to 16 cities worldwide, reconnecting with global fans at full scale.
