Yoo Yeon-seok and Esom are teaming up as lawyers who resolve the lingering grievances of the dead in a mysterious new drama.
On March 4, SBS unveiled a special poster for its upcoming Friday–Saturday drama Shin Irang Law Office. The image completes the final piece of the drama's unusual supernatural world.
Shin Irang Law Office follows Shin Irang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok), a spiritually gifted lawyer who helps settle the grudges of the deceased, and Han Na-hyun (played by Esom), a cold and elite attorney obsessed with winning. Together, they embark on a strange yet heartfelt journey to resolve the unresolved stories of the dead.
A Rooftop Ritual Between Law and the Afterlife
The special poster is set on the rooftop of the law office building. Surrounded by a forest of buildings in central Seoul, the scene unfolds at sunset, the city bathed in deep red light.
Shin Irang and Han Na-hyun stand on the rooftop of the former shaman house that became Shin Irang Law Office, gazing up at the sky.
Behind them sits a brazier surrounded by bricks. Flames rise from within, and talismans are placed beneath it. The space represents the final ritual site where Shin Irang respectfully sends off the spirits after resolving their grievances.
Justice in Court, Farewell on the Rooftop
The rooftop becomes a quiet place of farewell after the courtroom battles. Once the dead have found justice through Shin Irang's powerful arguments in court, their spirits are guided peacefully onward.
The silhouette of the city against the sunset creates a poignant mood that symbolizes the emotional core of Shin Irang Law Office.
Beyond the satisfaction of a "cathartic courtroom drama," the series also emphasizes mourning and respect for the departed. The poster captures this worldview in a single image.
From Opponents to Partners
The composition of the two characters standing side by side and looking toward the same sky carries symbolic meaning. It suggests that although they approach cases differently, Shin Irang and Han Na-hyun will gradually become partners pursuing the same goal.
The drama also hints at a possible transformation for the once cold and calculating Han Na-hyun within this unusual space.
The production team explained that the rooftop is "the place where the message of the story converges." They added that while the courtroom represents action and resolution, the rooftop represents the heart and farewell.
Shin Irang Law Office will premiere on March 13 at 9:50 PM KST on SBS.
