TWS is bringing fans a new way to experience their performances through their first VR concert film.
PLEDIS Entertainment announced on March 4 that TWS's first VR concert RUSH ROAD will be screened exclusively at Megabox COEX in Seoul.
The film will also roll out internationally. It opens simultaneously in Bangkok on the same day, followed by Hong Kong on March 6 and Kaohsiung and Taipei on March 13. Screenings in Singapore and Mexico City are also scheduled.
Immersive Journey of Youth
The project has already drawn strong demand. Immediately after reservations opened last month, tickets for the premiere day sold out. First-week screenings also sold out rapidly. Despite being shown in a single theater, the film climbed to No. 2 on the Megabox movie chart.
RUSH ROAD captures the relentless journey of youth. Set across diverse virtual environments, the concert features TWS's hit songs including OVERDRIVE.
TWS shared their excitement for the experience. "We wanted to properly show VR to 42 (our fandom) who are trying it for the first time. We worked hard thinking about how we could bring fans closer to us."
They added, "We prepared this concert film so it feels like TWS and 42 are in the same space. We hope everyone shouts and enjoys it to the fullest."
Meanwhile, TWS will hold their second fan meeting 42:CLUB from March 27 to 29 at Ticketlink Live Arena in Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul.
