Seo Young-eun of Kep1er will officially depart from the group.
WakeOne and CLEM Entertainment announced the update on March 6 through social media under the title "Notice Regarding Kep1er's Future Activities and Member Seo Young-eun."
Kep1er will continue promotions with six members moving forward. The agencies confirmed that Seo Young-eun has concluded her activities as a member of the group.
Departure After Eight-Month Hiatus
Seo Young-eun had suspended activities eight months ago due to health issues. At the time, the agency stated that she would take a break and would not participate in comeback promotions.
Following careful discussions, the decision was made for her to leave the team. The company explained that the members respect Seo Young-eun's wishes and continue to support her based on the trust they share.
"We sincerely thank Seo Young-eun for the passion and dedication she showed as part of Kep1er," the statement read. "We will continue to support her future path."
Kep1er Begins a New Chapter
The agency also emphasized that Kep1er will begin a new chapter and promised to repay Kep1ians—the group's fandom—with better music and performances.
Kep1er was formed through Mnet's survival program Girls Planet 999. The group previously reorganized from nine members to seven after contract changes and will now continue as a six-member team.
