Park Shin Hye delivered a satisfying finale to viewers at home. The drama wrapped with a clear good-versus-evil message, completing a "strong start, strong finish" storyline.
tvN's Undercover Miss Hong (written by Moon Hyun-kyung, directed by Park Sun-ho) aired its final episode on March 8. According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 16 recorded an average nationwide rating of 12.4%.
The ratings rose steadily throughout the run. The drama began with 3.5% for Episode 1, climbed to 10.6% by Episode 11, and later reached its highest rating of 13.1% with Episode 15.
One of the key factors behind the popularity was Park Shin Hye. She portrayed Hong Geum-bo, an elite financial supervisor. The character goes undercover at a securities firm after detecting suspicious money flows and uncovers internal corruption.
The chemistry among the "Room 301 roommates" also stood out. Hong Geum-bo, Go Bok-hee (played by Ha Yoon-kyung), and Kang Nora (played by Choi Ji-soo) built a strong female alliance that left a lasting emotional impact.
Justice Served in the Final Episode
The drama's conclusion delivered a cathartic ending. Chairman Kang Pil-beom (played by Lee Deok-hwa) of Hanmin Securities and Bong Dal-soo (played by Kim Roe-ha) ultimately faced legal punishment.
Season 2 Teased
The finale also hinted at a potential second season. Hong Geum-bo accepts a conditional reinstatement offer and begins another undercover operation, this time investigating an insurance fraud case.
Meanwhile, How to Become a Landlord in Korea will follow Undercover Miss Hong. The new series premieres on March 14.
