The theme song Golden from the Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters will be performed at this year's Academy Awards.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) revealed the performance lineup for the 98th Academy Awards on March 10 through its official website.
Special Performance Celebrating the Film
Executive producer Raj Kapoor announced that EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—who performed the vocals for the fictional group HUNTRIX—will take the stage to perform Golden during the ceremony.
The performance will feature Korean traditional instruments and dance, highlighting the folkloric elements and cultural inspirations presented in KPop Demon Hunters.
Earlier, the trio also appeared at the British Academy Film Awards, where they performed Golden live in response to the strong global interest in the film.
Two Oscar Nominations
KPop Demon Hunters has received two nominations at this year's Oscars—Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for Golden.
Meanwhile, the 98th Academy Awards will take place on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Conan O'Brien will host the ceremony.
