Comprehensive content company RBW is accelerating its global expansion through a new acquisition.
RBW announced on March 11 that its subsidiary WM Entertainment recently signed a comprehensive business transfer agreement with 257 Entertainment and has begun the post-acquisition integration process.
Under the agreement, WM Entertainment will take over 257 Entertainment's overall business operations, including IP assets, exclusive artist contracts, and staff.
RBW Expands Portfolio with XLOV
Through this acquisition, RBW will add genderless K-pop group XLOV to its artist roster, using the move as a stepping stone for its global expansion strategy.
XLOV debuted in January last year under 257 Entertainment as the first genderless boy group in K-pop. Members Haru, Rui, and Umuti previously gained attention by appearing on Mnet's survival program Boys Planet.
Synergy Across RBW Labels
RBW explained that the company plans to create strong synergy by combining the business infrastructure and expertise of RBW, DSP Media, and WM Entertainment.
The agency added that it will fully support the global IP expansion of XLOV.
Meanwhile, RBW's artist lineup includes MAMAMOO, OH MY GIRL, KARD, YOUNG POSSE, ONEWE, Ahn Ye-eun, and Gavy NJ.
