Yuta of NCT is stepping into a new acting challenge.
According to SM Entertainment on March 13, the film The Specials, starring Yuta, officially opens in theaters across Korea today.
A Dance Competition Turns Into a Deadly Mission
The Specials, directed by Uchida Eiji, is a dance-action movie. The story follows five assassins who infiltrate a dance competition while carrying out a secret mission.
Yuta plays the killer Kiryu, the ace performer who leads the team's choreography. The character stands out for his speed, agility, and sharp movements.
Blending Performance With Action
One of the film's highlights is Yuta's performance-driven action style, drawing on his real-life strengths as a dancer. He also contributed creative ideas to the character's visual concept, including hairstyle and tattoo makeup.
Korean Promotions Underway
To promote the film in Korea, Yuta will meet local audiences through stage greetings. He will appear alongside Sakuma Daisuke, who plays the character Daiya in the movie.
The Specials is now showing in theaters nationwide.
