aespa is preparing for a major return to the music scene this May, raising expectations for yet another record-breaking release.
According to SM Entertainment on March 13, the group is currently preparing a comeback aimed for May. The new release will arrive about eight months after their sixth mini album Rich Man.
Aiming for Eight Straight Million-Sellers
With the upcoming album, aespa is expected to challenge for their eighth consecutive million-selling record. Since their second mini album Girls, the group has consistently delivered major hits, including My World, Drama, Armageddon, Whiplash, and Dirty Work.
Their previous album Rich Man also demonstrated global influence, ranking No.16 on the Global Album Sales Chart released by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.
Expanding Global Activities
aespa plans to continue expanding its international presence this year. The group recently performed the opening theme song "ATTITUDE" for the TV anime Kill Blue.
Starting next month, the group will also launch its first Japan dome tour. They will perform at Kyocera Dome Osaka on April 11–12, followed by concerts at Tokyo Dome on April 25–26.
Meanwhile, aespa is currently in the midst of its Asia tour and is scheduled to perform next in Jakarta on April 4.
