ILLIT is set to return next month with a new release.
The group revealed the comeback news during their first tour concert PRESS START♥, held on March 15 at Ticketlink Live Arena in Songpa District, Seoul.
The upcoming album is titled MAMIHLAPINATAPAI. The term originates from the Yaghan language of South America and is famously listed in the Guinness World Records as one of the most difficult words to translate due to its complex meaning.
The word describes the look shared between two people who both want the other to initiate something neither wants to do themselves.
The title track has also been revealed. Their agency Belift Lab confirmed on March 16 that ILLIT will return with a new album on April 30, led by the title song "It's Me."
Expanding First Tour Across Japan
ILLIT will continue their first tour with multiple stops across Japan. The group is scheduled to perform in Aichi on June 13–14, Osaka on June 20–21, Fukuoka on June 29–30, Hyogo on July 18–19, and Tokyo on July 23 and July 25–26.
Belift Lab stated that anticipation is growing for the music and concept ILLIT will showcase through the new album, asking fans to look forward to the group's next "level up."
Meanwhile, the group's first tour is receiving strong response. All Seoul concert dates sold out on the first day of pre-sale.
