IU, Byeon Woo-seok, Noh Sang-hyun, and Gong Seung-yeon lead a new story set in a constitutional monarchy version of modern Korea.
The Grand Prince's Wife in the 21st Century released its group poster on March 16. The new Friday–Saturday drama will air on Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation.
The poster features figures from the royal family as well as powerful players in politics and business. At the center stand chaebol heiress Sung Hee-joo (IU) and Prince Ian, the second son of the royal family (Byeon Woo-seok).
The two characters enter a contract marriage to change their destinies. Although their relationship begins as a formal agreement, the poster hints that they gradually become a source of support for one another.
Prime Minister Min Jung-woo (Noh Sang-hyun) and Queen Dowager Yoon Yi-rang (Gong Seung-yeon) also appear in the image, standing upright beside the couple.
The production team said viewers should watch whether these characters—each carrying the burden of fate—can ultimately achieve their own goals.
The Grand Prince's Wife in the 21st Century tells the story of a contract marriage between a chaebol woman from a commoner background and a prince, the son of the king. The drama premieres on April 10.
