BTS will transform Seoul into a citywide celebration to mark their comeback.
BigHit Music announced on March 16 via Weverse that "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL" (hereafter "THE CITY Seoul") will take place across major locations in the capital from March 20 to April 19.
On March 20, the release day of BTS's new album ARIRANG, media facade shows will begin at Sungnyemun and Namsan Seoul Tower starting at 7 p.m. Later that evening, a drone light show will illuminate the night sky above Ttukseom Hangang Park beginning at 8:30 p.m.
Gwanghwamun Square will also join the celebration. In connection with the event "BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG," large outdoor screens around the plaza will broadcast comeback content from 7 p.m. on March 20 through midnight on March 21.
Music-themed light shows will be held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and the Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain. The DDP event runs from March 20 to April 12, while the Banpo Bridge program will take place from March 21 to 22.
Interactive programs are also planned. Fans can participate in a "stamp rally" mission across event locations including Yeouido, DDP, and Shinsegae Square, collecting visit confirmations while exploring the city.
Yeouido Hangang Park's event plaza will be transformed into the "Love Song Lounge" from March 20 to 22. The space will feature busking performances, photo zones, and music-themed experiential content.
DDP Exhibition Hall 1 will host "DDP ARMY Yard" from April 6 to 12. Meanwhile, Cheonggyecheon and the Yongsan Station area will present a "Love Quarter" installation using light and visual displays from April 6 to 19.
The full schedule for "THE CITY Seoul" can be found on Weverse and the official website. The project is expected to expand to major cities around the world after its Seoul launch.
