Comedian Kim Kiri and actress Moon Ji-in are expecting their first child.

On March 17, Kim Kiri shared the news of his wife's pregnancy through social media, marking the couple's journey to parenthood nearly three years after their marriage in May 2024.

Introducing himself playfully as "Moon Ji-in's husband Kim Kiri," he announced, "I'll get straight to the point—my wife and I are expecting. The baby's nickname is Saengmyeong."

The couple previously experienced the pain of miscarriage and underwent fertility treatments, including IVF, without success. They were later able to conceive naturally.

Kim Kiri shared, "We tried to stay healthy and prayed earnestly. Many people prayed for us as well, and we were thankfully blessed with a child again."

He added, "Although the baby hasn't been born yet and we still feel anxious, we are overcoming it with even greater joy and living each day with gratitude."

He also expressed support for others facing similar struggles, saying, "I will keep praying for you. I hope the day comes when we can share this joy together."

Meanwhile, Kim Kiri and Moon Ji-in previously shared their wedding journey on Same Bed, Different Dreams 2, where Moon Ji-in's younger brother, who has a developmental disability, touched viewers by participating as a ring bearer.
