Winter of aespa has made a meaningful donation to support children in conflict areas and patients facing financial hardship.
On March 19, the Korean Committee for UNICEF announced that Winter donated 100 million KRW to help children affected by ongoing conflicts and disasters regain a sense of normalcy. The funds will be used for physical and psychological care, as well as nutrition and healthcare support for children in affected regions. She has also joined UNICEF's Honors Club for high-value donors.
Winter shared that she wanted to give back the love she has received from fans, expressing hope that children around the world can continue to dream, attend school, and enjoy everyday life regardless of their circumstances.
In addition, she donated another 100 million KRW to Samsung Medical Center's Patient Happiness Fund. The contribution aims to ease the financial burden on patients in need, allowing them to focus on treatment and recovery.
She added that she hopes her support can provide strength to those struggling with medical expenses and sincerely wishes for their return to a healthy daily life.
Winter has consistently contributed to charitable causes. Last year, she donated 100 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross for wildfire recovery efforts. Alongside her aespa members, she also contributed proceeds from performances to support fire relief efforts in Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, aespa will continue their Asia tour "SYNK : aeXIS LINE" on April 4 in Jakarta, Indonesia, and is set to perform at the major U.S. music festival Lollapalooza Chicago in August.
