BTS's RM Injures Ankle Ahead of Comeback…"Will Still Take the Stage"
by. ymchoi

RM of BTS suffered an ankle injury just two days before the comeback.

He was injured during rehearsal on March 19. A detailed examination diagnosed him with a navicular bone sprain, partial ligament tear, and talus contusion.

According to BigHit Music, medical staff advised that he should minimize movement for at least two weeks after wearing a leg cast. However, RM showed strong determination to perform.

The agency stated, "We prioritized medical advice. To prevent further injury, RM will minimize movement while still appearing on stage."

He will participate with limited choreography. BigHit Music added, "He will take part within a manageable range. We ask for fans' understanding."

RM also shared his thoughts through a live broadcast. "I got injured while practicing a lot," he said. "I worked hard on dance practice, so it's disappointing that I can't fully show it."

He continued, "Since it's a moment to meet you all, I will do my best on stage through vocals and atmosphere. I will recover well before the concert. Please look forward to the performance we prepared together."

BTS will hold BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG on March 21 at 8 PM at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, where they will perform new songs including the title track.

They will continue global promotions. On March 23, they will host the "Spotify X BTS SWIMSIDE" event in New York, followed by appearances on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 25–26.
