SEVENTEEN's The8 is set to take the stage as a headliner at a major music festival in China.
PLEDIS Entertainment announced on March 24 that The8 will perform at the "MIDOU Music Festival," scheduled to take place on May 1–2 in Nanjing.
Headliner Spotlight in China
The MIDOU Music Festival, launched in 2014, marks its 15th edition this year. The event drew massive crowds last year, attracting over 80,000 and 60,000 attendees across two rounds.
This will be The8's second appearance at a music festival as a solo artist. He previously performed at the "YJ Music Festival" in September last year, showcasing vocals, dance, and even DJing.
Expanding as a Singer-Songwriter
The8 has continued to demonstrate his musical versatility. He released a range of tracks including "Star Crossing Night," "Dreams Come True," "Falling Down," "Side by Side," and "Hai Cheng," spanning multiple genres.
Through his first Chinese EP "STARDUST," he further established himself as a singer-songwriter, contributing lyrics and composition to every track on the album.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is currently on a world tour. The group will hold encore concerts on April 4–5 at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.
