BTS finally met their U.S. ARMY in person, marking their first New York appearance in four years since their 2022 Las Vegas concerts.
The group attended Spotify x BTS: SWIM SIDE on March 24 (KST), held at the South Street Seaport rooftop in Manhattan. The special event was hosted by Spotify, inviting 1,000 top listeners to celebrate the release of BTS's fifth full-length album Arirang.
Live Stages from 'Arirang' Album
BTS performed several tracks from the album, including the title track "SWIM," along with "2.0" and "Normal." The live performances drew strong reactions from fans gathered at the venue.
RM limited his movements due to an ankle injury. He carefully moved during "Normal" and performed "SWIM" while seated on stage.
"We Kept Moving Forward"
During the talk segment, Jimin said, "I'm so happy we're back together. I really missed ARMY."
Jin explained the meaning behind "SWIM," saying, "We wanted to express moving forward without stopping, even in front of emotional waves."
RM also thanked fans, adding, "You are truly amazing," while making a heart gesture.
The group mentioned recent songwriting sessions in Los Angeles, new collaborations, and their upcoming Netflix documentary BTS: The Return, set for release on March 27.
Meanwhile, Arirang surpassed 4 million cumulative sales within three days of release, reaffirming BTS's global influence.
