Kim Young Dae will soon begin his military service.

His agency Outer Universe confirmed on March 25 that the actor will enter a training center next month and serve as an active-duty soldier in the Republic of Korea Army.

Kim Young Dae had previously mentioned his enlistment plans in multiple interviews. In a past interview for Dear X, he shared a general timeline for his enlistment.

Looking Ahead After Service

He also expressed anticipation for his return, saying, "I want to take on more roles that suit me. I have ambitions to expand my acting spectrum."

Kim Young Dae debuted in 2017 through a web drama and gained popularity with works such as Extraordinary You and No Gain No Love.

His latest project, Dear X, left a strong impression as he portrayed Yoon Jun Seo, a character who devoted his life to staying by Baek Ah Jin's side. He also made a special appearance in Monthly Boyfriend.

He is expected to be discharged between September and October 2027.
