Singer-actress IU will reunite with her fandom UAENA at a major stadium concert this fall.
Her agency EDAM Entertainment confirmed on March 27 that IU is scheduled to hold a solo concert this September at the Goyang Stadium.
Returning to the Stage After Two Years
This marks IU's first solo concert in approximately two years. Her last large-scale performance was the encore show 'The Winning' at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in September 2024.
IU has solidified her status as the first female solo artist in Korea to headline and sell out multiple major stadiums. She previously performed at KSPO Dome in 2019 and Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium in 2022.
A 43,000-Seat Venue Awaits
Her next stage, Goyang Stadium, accommodates approximately 43,000 attendees. Notably, BTS also launched a world tour from the same venue, underscoring its scale and significance.
Ahead of the official announcement, IU hinted at the location herself. When a fan mentioned Goyang Stadium, she subtly confirmed it by replying with the phrase "That's right," using the initials of her response.
Drama Comeback on the Horizon
Meanwhile, IU is set to return to television with the upcoming MBC drama When the 21st Century Grand Prince's Wife, which premieres on April 10.
