BTS has reinforced its dominance in the UK music market, achieving a major milestone on the UK Official Charts.
The group's fifth full-length album Arirang debuted at No. 1 on the Official Albums Top 100, marking their third chart-topping album in the UK following Map of the Soul: Persona and Map of the Soul: 7. The album also secured No. 1 on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, highlighting strong physical sales alongside streaming power.
'SWIM' Hits Career-High on Singles Chart
The title track "SWIM" climbed to No. 2 on the Official Singles Top 100, setting a new personal best for BTS. Their previous peak was No. 3 with "Dynamite" (2020) and "Butter" (2021), making this their highest-charting UK single to date.
Global Streaming Power Remains Untouchable
On Spotify's weekly global charts, BTS dominated across all major categories—Top Albums, Top Songs, and Top Artists.
"SWIM" recorded approximately 82.27 million weekly streams, the highest for any song released this year. All 14 tracks from Arirang ranked within the upper tier of the Top Songs Global chart, underscoring the album's widespread appeal.
BTS also extended their record on the Weekly Top Artists Global chart, logging 232 consecutive weeks. This ties them with global superstars Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Billie Eilish, and Justin Bieber.
Strong Performance Across Global Markets
The album's success extends beyond the UK. According to ARIA Charts, Arirang reached No. 1 on both the Top 50 Albums and Vinyl charts—marking the highest achievement by a Korean artist in Australia this year.
In France, the album also topped the charts under SNEP, further solidifying BTS's global reach.
Meanwhile, BTS released a remix album, KEEP SWIMMING, on March 27. The project features seven reinterpretations of "SWIM," each reflecting the individual musical direction of the group's members.
