ITZY are gearing up for a comeback, aiming for a new release in May.
Their agency JYP Entertainment confirmed on March 30 that the group is preparing a new album, with the exact release date to be announced later.
This marks ITZY's return approximately six months after their previous release, the mini album Tunnel Vision in November, which centered on the theme of "dangerous immersion."
Recently, the group has experienced a reverse-charting surge. Their 2019 B-side track "That's A No No" has regained attention six years after its release.
The renewed popularity was sparked by performances during their third world tour, where ITZY პირველად revealed the choreography for the song. A full-cam video uploaded to YouTube further fueled the trend.
The track—nicknamed "Daechu Nono"—rose to No.1 on YouTube Korea's trending music video chart and re-entered Melon's Top 100 at No.81.
Member Yuna also contributed to the momentum, releasing her solo debut album Ice Cream on March 23, following Yeji as the group's second solo artist.
Meanwhile, ITZY continue their world tour and will meet fans in Melbourne, Australia, on April 17.
