SEVENTEEN's THE8 has surprise-released a new self-composed track, expanding his artistic spectrum once again.

According to Pledis Entertainment, THE8 unveiled "April Draft" (四月的漂流) on April 1 via Soda Music, a platform under Douyin.

A Bedroom Pop Reflection on Love and Farewell

"April Draft" is a bedroom pop track that metaphorically portrays the journey of love and breakup through the lens of April. THE8 participated in both lyrics and composition, reinforcing his identity as a self-producing artist.

The song blends emotional storytelling with a minimalist sound, highlighting his introspective style and evolving musical direction.

Consistent Artistic Growth

Since debut, THE8 has steadily built his reputation as a creator. He has released a range of Chinese digital singles, including "Dreams Come True," "Namak," "Side by Side," and "Hai Cheng," showcasing versatility across genres.

In 2024, he dropped his first Chinese EP Stardust, earning credits on every track. He also launched "The8 Contemporary Art" project, further demonstrating his multidisciplinary artistic vision.

Festival Headliner and Group Comeback Stage

THE8 is set to headline the Mido Music Festival on May 2 in Nanjing, China.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will meet fans at their world tour encore concert on April 4–5 at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.
