The beloved romance series returns after nearly four years. Yumi's Cells 3 is set to premiere, bringing back its signature blend of relatable love stories and imaginative "cell village" storytelling.
TVING unveiled character posters for the new original series on April 1, confirming its long-awaited comeback.
A New Chapter of Love Begins
Yumi's Cells 3 follows Yumi as her once-stable daily life is shaken by an unexpected new figure, leading her to laugh, cry, and fall in love all over again.
Kim Go-eun reprises her role as Yumi, now a successful star writer who still struggles with love. Director Lee Sang-yeob reunites with writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran, continuing the franchise's established creative synergy.
Joining the cast is rising actor Kim Jae-won, who plays Soon-rok—a principled character with a surprising "homebody" charm.

Chemistry, Conflict, and Cells Come Alive
Soon-rok may operate in low-power mode outside his home, but everything changes when he meets Yumi. As he falls in love, the once-quiet cell village bursts back to life.
Fans can also expect the return of familiar cells, including the now-dominant Writer Cell, the revived Love Cell, and the ever-resistant "No No Cell." A mysterious new cell will also make its debut, adding intrigue to the story.
The production team hinted at a dynamic relationship arc, noting that Yumi and Soon-rok begin with a tense "love-hate" dynamic that gradually evolves into heart-fluttering romance and humor.
Yumi's Cells 3 premieres on April 13, releasing two episodes every Monday at 6 PM on TVING. It will also air on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM, one episode per day.
