BTS has rewritten K-pop history once again. Their fifth full-length album ARIRANG has secured No.1 on the Billboard 200 for a second consecutive week.
According to Billboard's chart preview released on April 6 (KST), ARIRANG remains at the top of the Billboard 200. This marks the first time a K-pop artist has held the No.1 position for two consecutive weeks with a new album.
Longest-Running No.1 Among BTS Albums
Billboard noted that ARIRANG is now the longest-running No.1 album among BTS's seven chart-topping releases on the Billboard 200. The album debuted at No.1 and has maintained its dominance into its second week.
The Billboard 200 ranks albums based on a combination of physical album sales, streaming equivalent albums (SEA), and track equivalent albums (TEA).
Strong Sales and Global Performance
ARIRANG recorded 187,000 album units in its second week. Of these, 114,000 came from pure album sales, 65,000 from SEA, and 8,000 from TEA.
Despite entering its second week, the album continues its strong global performance. It topped Spotify's Weekly Top Albums, Weekly Top Songs, and Weekly Top Artists charts.
The album also reached No.1 on Australia's Top 50 Albums chart, while ranking No.2 on both Germany's Official Albums Chart and the SNEP Top Albums chart in France.
Continued Success on Korean Music Shows
BTS is also dominating domestically. The title track "SWIM" has achieved nine music show wins, further solidifying the group's global and local impact.
