Mark Lee has shared his first message with fans following his departure from NCT.
On April 6, Mark communicated through the fan platform Bubble, saying, "I wanted to tell you first, but this wasn't something I could act on based solely on my own feelings."
He acknowledged the shock caused by the sudden news of his exit and expressed his apology. "You must have been really surprised. The weekend must have been overwhelming and difficult," he said, showing concern for fans.
His exclusive contract with SM Entertainment is set to conclude on April 8. Mark hinted at further communication before then, adding, "I'll come back soon. I'm sorry, and thank you."
Mark debuted in 2016 and has been active across multiple NCT units, including NCT U, NCT 127, and NCT DREAM. He also expanded his career as a solo artist last year.
SM Entertainment previously confirmed the contract termination, stating that both sides reached a mutual agreement after thorough discussions.
