The film 'Salmokji' (directed by Lee Sang-min) ranked No. 1 in reservation rate before release.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets, 'Salmokji' recorded a reservation rate of 25.6% as of 8 a.m. on April 7. It ranked No. 1 among films scheduled for release.

It fired the signal flare for the spring theater district box office. It simultaneously surpassed director Jang Hang-jun's 'The King's Man' and the Hollywood science fiction blockbuster 'Project Hail Mary.'

'Salmokji' is a horror genre. It is set in the reservoir Salmokji. It is a story that unfolds as a filming team that visited this place encounters something inside the deep water.

Actress Kim Hye-yoon plays Han Su-in, a broadcasting station producing director who experiences unknown incidents in succession at a place she visited for work. Lee Jong-won made his screen lead debut as Ki-tae, Su-in's former lover.

Meanwhile, 'Salmokji' will be released on April 8.
