Director Lee Joon-ik completed filming for his first short drama 'A Father's Home Meal.' Actors Jung Jin-young, Lee Jung-eun, and Byun Yo-han transform into a family and deliver a warm story.
'A Father's Home Meal' finished all filming on March 24. It enters full-scale post-production. It is scheduled to be released in the second half of this year.
'A Father's Home Meal' is a story in which the wife 'Soon-ae' becomes unable to cook after an accident, and the husband 'Ha-eung' comes to cook home meals for the first time. It depicts the process in which family relationships change.
It is based on a webtoon of the same name by writer Gorita. It is a work that contains the warmth of daily life. It expresses family relationships and emotions through the medium of 'food.'
Director Lee maintained the warmth of the original while expanding the narrative and character interpretation. He increased the density of emotional lines between characters. He strengthened immersion with an episode-centered development.
He said, "I came to try a short drama for the first time. Within a vertical frame, it will be possible to clearly observe even the deep corners of the characters," and "While not missing the good parts of the original, I set it so that the story can deepen."

Jung Jin-young plays the father 'Ha-eung.' He is a character who has lived his whole life away from the kitchen. As his wife becomes unable to cook, he takes responsibility for home meals for the first time. He faces inner changes through cooking.
Lee Jung-eun plays Ha-eung's wife 'Soon-ae.' She had long been in charge of the dining table, but suddenly forgets how to cook, causing a ripple in the ordinary family daily life.
Byun Yo-han takes the role of the son 'Myeong-bok.' He is the character who observes the changes in the family most closely. Between a father who tries cooking and Soon-ae who has forgotten cooking, he resolves the family's problems.
