Actor Park Ji-hoon is returning to the small screen.
The production team of TVING original The Legendary Cook Soldier (written by Choi Ryong, directed by Jo Nam-hyung) released its poster on April 8. He is seen wearing a chef's uniform after taking off his royal robe.
The Legendary Cook Soldier is a military cooking fantasy drama. It tells the story of a private who swaps guns for kitchen knives and ammo belts for an apron, becoming a "legendary cook soldier."
The drama is adapted from a Naver webtoon of the same name. Park Ji-hoon, who rose to prominence with the film The King's Man, takes on the role of cook soldier Kang Sung-jae.
From Training Ground to Kitchen
The poster builds anticipation. Kang Sung-jae stands in the kitchen instead of the training ground. The label of a "troubled soldier" feels out of place as he draws attention with skilled wok techniques and a confident smile.
A representative stated, "The poster captures Kang Sung-jae's gradual growth as he transitions into a cook soldier. Please look forward to the meals he will be responsible for at Gangrim Outpost."
Meanwhile, The Legendary Cook Soldier premieres on May 11 at 8:50 PM.
