Former ENHYPEN member Heeseung has announced a new beginning as a solo artist.

Heeseung will now promote under the name "EVAN," marking a fresh chapter in his musical journey.

"A Name That Holds Another Me"

EVAN opened official social media accounts on April 8. The name represents an identity Heeseung has long associated with another side of himself, symbolizing his artistic direction.

He shared, "EVAN is a precious name I've used since childhood. I want to bring it back and present myself again with a new mindset."

A Different Side Through Solo Music

Heeseung hinted at a new musical color distinct from his group activities.

"I will approach fans step by step with music that fully reflects who I am," he said, signaling a more personal and authentic expression.

From ENHYPEN to EVAN

Debuting in 2020 with ENHYPEN, Heeseung was recognized for his versatility across vocals, rap, and performance, along with stable live skills and strong stage presence.

He also proved his musical abilities by participating in writing and composing tracks such as "Highway 1009" and his solo song "Dial Tragedy."

However, on March 10, news of his departure from the group was announced. His agency stated that his clear artistic direction would be respected.

In a handwritten letter, Heeseung reflected, "The past six years have been overwhelming and precious beyond words," adding that after long 고민, he made the decision in alignment with the direction proposed by the company.

Now, under the name EVAN, he begins a new chapter.
