The Baeksang Arts Awards has revealed its full nominee lineup, setting the stage for a highly competitive year across television, film, and theater.

The organizing committee announced on April 13 that eligible works include content released between April 1 of last year and March 31 this year, spanning TV productions, feature films, and stage performances.

Fierce Competition in Television Categories

In the television division, Unknown Seoul and Eunjung and Sangyeon lead the race with nominations across six categories, including Best Drama and Best Director.

Other major nominees include The Story of Mr. Kim Who Lives in Seoul and Works at a Large Corporation, Fine: Country Bumpkins, The Tyrant's Chef, and Can This Love Be Translated?

For Best Actor, Ryu Seung-ryong earned a nomination for his role in The Story of Mr. Kim Who Lives in Seoul and Works at a Large Corporation. He faces strong competition from Ji Sung (Judge Lee Han-young), Hyun Bin (Made in Korea), Lee Junho (Typhoon Company), and Park Jin-young (Unknown Seoul).

The Best Actress category includes Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyun (Eunjung and Sangyeon), alongside Park Bo-young (Unknown Seoul), Shin Hye-sun (Lady Dua), and Im Yoon-ah (The Tyrant's Chef).

Film Category Led by Major Contenders

In film, No Other Choice and The Man Who Lives with the King are expected to dominate, each securing nominations in seven categories including Best Film and Best Director.

The Best Actor and Actress categories feature a diverse lineup, including Lee Byung-hun and Son Ye-jin (No Other Choice), as well as Park Jung-min, Koo Kyo-hwan, Go Ah-sung, and Lee Hye-young.

Theater and Musical Categories Expand

The theater category highlights works such as The Last Visit, Mirror, Sammaegyeong, End Wall, and Jellyfish, reflecting a broader scope this year.

A newly introduced musical category also draws attention, with nominees including The Long Night, Laika, Mongyudowon, Red Soil, and The Man in Hanbok.

Acting awards in the musical category will be given to one performer regardless of gender, with nominees such as Kim Junsu, Min Kyung-ah, Park Eun-tae, Yuria, and Hong Kwang-ho.

The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards will be held on May 8 at COEX D Hall in Seoul, with live broadcasts on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4.
