Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun are set to headline a time-transcending romance.
SBS unveiled the duo poster for its upcoming Friday-Saturday drama Brave New World on April 14, teasing a fateful encounter between two characters living in different eras.
The series is a romantic comedy centered on Shin Se-ri (Lim Ji-yeon), an unknown actress possessed by the spirit of a notorious villainess from the Joseon era, and Cha Se-gye (Heo Nam-jun), a ruthless chaebol heir. Their story unfolds as an unexpected romance that bridges time.
In the poster, the two stand within the same space yet exist in separate timelines. The composition mirrors the contrast between 18th-century Joseon and 21st-century Korea, forming a striking visual symmetry.
Their expressions convey layered emotions—curiosity, caution, and an unexplainable attraction—hinting at a relationship that gradually draws them toward each other across worlds.
The tagline, "A villainess meets a new world," adds intrigue. The character of Dansim, though born into a low status, rises to the position of royal consort, earning a reputation as a legendary villainess who once shook Joseon.
Brave New World will premiere on May 8 at 9:50 PM (KST).
