NMIXX is set to return with their fifth mini album.
The group will release Heavy Serenade on May 11, marking their first comeback in about seven months since Blue Valentine in October last year.
The promotion scheduler for the new album has been unveiled, hinting at a musical concept. Visual elements such as staff lines, treble clefs, notes, and musical symbols reflect the album's title, Heavy Serenade.
A series of promotional content will build anticipation. Starting with the album trailer on April 21, NMIXX will roll out motion posters, a dedicated website, and a highlight medley.
A pre-release track is also scheduled. On April 28, two weeks ahead of the album drop, the group will unveil the music video for Crescendo, offering fans an early preview of the new music.
Additional teasers for the title track and its music video will be released sequentially. On the day of the comeback, May 11, NMIXX will host a countdown live broadcast with fans.
The group maintained strong momentum last year with two album releases. Their first full-length album marked a career high, topping major Korean music charts and earning 10 music show wins.
International media also praised their work. Outlets such as Billboard, Teen Vogue, and NME highlighted both their first full album and fourth mini album, giving high marks for musical quality.
Alongside album promotions, NMIXX successfully completed their first world tour. Their Episode 1: Zero Frontier concert in Incheon sold out, followed by successful runs across Europe and North America.
Their agency stated, "NMIXX has proven their global presence, including performing at the Brazil Carnival," adding that the group is expected to further solidify their status as a leading girl group.
Ahead of the comeback, NMIXX will perform the track Xuperior for the first time at the Eve Festa, a pre-event for the LCK Team Roadshow: T1 Homeground, on April 24.
