BTS has once again secured a spot among the top nominees at the American Music Awards (AMAs), raising anticipation for another major win.
The AMAs revealed this year's nominations on April 14, with BTS earning a nod for "Artist of the Year." The group previously made history in 2021 as the first Korean act to win the grand prize in this category.
Competing with Global Pop Giants
BTS will compete against some of the biggest names in global pop, including Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga, among others.
In total, BTS received nominations in three categories: Artist of the Year, Best Male K-Pop Artist, and Song of the Summer.
"SWIM" Gains Rapid Recognition
Their track "SWIM" was nominated for Song of the Summer less than a month after its release, highlighting its immediate global impact. The category also includes contenders like Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.
The American Music Awards will take place on May 25 (local time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.
