K-pop is once again taking center stage at the American Music Awards, with multiple artists and projects earning nominations across key categories.
CBS and Dick Clark Productions unveiled the nominees for the 52nd AMAs on April 15 (KST), highlighting the global influence of K-pop acts.
BTS Leads the Charge
BTS secured a nomination for "Artist of the Year," competing against global pop heavyweights like Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift.
They are also nominated for "Song of the Summer" and "Best Male K-Pop Artist," reinforcing their continued dominance on the global stage.
Rising Acts and Global Projects Gain Recognition
KATSEYE earned three nominations, including "New Artist of the Year," "Favorite Music Video" for "Gnarly," and "Breakthrough Pop Artist."
The global success of KPop Demon Hunters has extended into the awards race, with a nomination for "Favorite Soundtrack."
Additionally, the virtual girl group Huntrix—featuring Lee Jae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—was nominated in categories such as "Song of the Year," "Best Vocal Performance," and "Best Pop Song."
Expanding K-pop Presence Across Categories
TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and ENHYPEN joined BTS in the "Best Male K-Pop Artist" category.
On the female side, aespa, BLACKPINK, ILLIT, LE SSERAFIM, and TWICE were nominated for "Best Female K-Pop Artist."
Meanwhile, Jennie is also aiming for a major win with her collaboration track "Dracula" alongside Tame Impala, nominated for "Song of the Summer."
The American Music Awards will take place on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
