LE SSERAFIM has begun building momentum for their comeback with a cinematic trailer introducing the core theme of their upcoming album.
The group released a trailer for their second full-length album PUREFLOW pt.1 on April 17 via the HYBE Labels YouTube channel. Running approximately 5 minutes and 39 seconds, the video explores the idea of a "Chosen Family," portraying a journey of healing and solidarity.
The members are seen sharing lighthearted moments, taking photos together, before tension rises when Kazuha claims to have seen a monster. Despite not seeing it themselves, the others choose to believe her, emphasizing unconditional trust beyond blood ties. Eventually, all members unite to confront the unseen threat together.
The trailer marks LE SSERAFIM's first foray into acting within their promotional content. Unlike previous image-driven teasers, this project delivers a narrative-driven format with a clear storyline.
Their signature walking sequence also returns, symbolizing both determination and freedom as they move together to face the unknown and protect one another.
Director Kim Han-sol led the production. He previously collaborated with the group on the performance film for their single "Spaghetti," showcasing a continued creative partnership.
While the theme could have leaned heavy, the trailer presents it with warmth and playful imagination. Anxiety and fear are personified as a whimsical monster, adding emotional accessibility to the story.
PUREFLOW pt.1 marks LE SSERAFIM's first full-length album in approximately three years. The project centers on confronting fear, personal growth, friendship, and trust.
The album is set for release on May 22, with the lead single "Celebration" scheduled to drop in advance on April 24.
