Actors Park Eun-bin and Cha Eun-woo are set to showcase comedic action as lovable underdogs in an upcoming series.

Netflix confirmed on April 17 that its original series The Wonderfools will premiere on May 15. A teaser trailer and official poster have also been unveiled.

Set in 1999 at the turn of the millennium, The Wonderfools follows a group of ordinary misfits who unexpectedly gain superpowers. As they struggle to control their new abilities, they must also rise against villains threatening peace.

The teaser introduces the quirky residents of Haeseong City. Park Eun-bin's character Eun Chae-ni breaks into spontaneous dance, while others gradually discover their powers. Cha Eun-woo's Lee Woon-jung pulls a book through the air, Max Dae-hoon's Son Kyung-hoon finds a phone stuck to his hand, and Lim Sung-jae's Robin tears a car door like paper.

"People usually call this kind of thing a superpower," Park Eun-bin remarks, hinting at the group's chaotic yet heartfelt journey of adaptation.

Blending humor and emotion, the series promises a lighthearted yet touching take on the superhero genre.

The cast also includes Kim Hae-sook, Max Dae-hoon, Lim Sung-jae, and Son Hyun-joo.

Notably, Park Eun-bin reunites with director Yoo In-sik, known for their previous collaborations on Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Dr. Romantic.
