Jang Kiha will unveil his first solo full-length album through a unique cinematic format at a major film festival.
His agency DooRooDooRoo Artist Company announced on April 17 that Jang Kiha's first solo album Shattered will be introduced as a short film at the Jeonju International Film Festival.
The short film, sharing the same title, incorporates new tracks from the album. It will be screened once daily from May 1 to 3 during the festival, with audience talk sessions scheduled on May 1 and 2.
This project highlights an experimental creative process. Jang Kiha first wrote poetry, then produced a silent film based on it, and finally composed music that matches the film's runtime.
According to his agency, this approach stems from his accumulated experience in film scoring and his continued exploration of new artistic formats.
Jang Kiha debuted in 2008 with the band Jang Kiha and the Faces and has since released five full-length albums. His solo album Shattered is scheduled for official release in September.
