BTS topped the front pages of major Japanese sports newspapers.
Japanese media outlets including Nikkan Sports, Sports Nippon, Sports Hochi, Sankei Sports, and Daily Sports prominently covered BTS's world tour ARIRANG in Tokyo on April 17–18.
They highlighted the group's comeback with key phrases such as "first full-group return in seven years," "Tokyo Dome in frenzy," and "reunion with ARMY," placing strong emphasis on the concerts.
Reports also focused on the significance of the performances, noting BTS's return to the Japanese stage as a full group after a long time, as well as the enthusiastic response from audiences filling Tokyo Dome.

At convenience stores near Tokyo Dome, fans lined up to purchase the newspapers, with many locations selling out early in the morning, reflecting intense local interest.
The group's popularity was also evident in album metrics. According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan, BTS's fifth full-length album ARIRANG surpassed 750,000 cumulative shipments as of March.
The album earned a Triple Platinum certification, marking BTS's second such achievement in Japan following their fourth Japanese album Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~. It reached the milestone in just 11 days after release on March 20, becoming the first album this year—domestic or international—to achieve Triple Platinum status in Japan.

BTS also showed strong performance on Oricon charts. On the "Weekly Streaming Rising Ranking" (dated April 20; tracking period April 6–12), they placed five songs.
Tracks "2.0" and "Hooligan" ranked No.1 and No.2, while megahits "Butter" (No.6), "Dynamite" (No.7), and "Permission to Dance" (No.9) also entered the Top 10.
They have additionally swept Spotify's Weekly Top Album and Weekly Top Song Global charts for four consecutive weeks. ARIRANG also ranked No.5 on the UK Official Albums Top 100, maintaining a high position for four weeks.
